Walk
alongside the western Himalayas.
Greet the Annapurna massif while youre seldom tourist trod
trail winds you through unchanged Nepal. Your guide and crew bring modern amenities to a
Nepal untouched by time.
Mothers groups welcome you and sing traditional songs and dance stories from the
ancient epics.
You walk through forests, across rivers, camp near hamlets and always there are The
Annapurnas as a beacon. You are amongst the Gurungs of Nepal. Chivalrous, valorous,
welcoming. Soldiers who fought wars in many countries but always returned to the paradise
you are exploring.
Your caravan gentles you along through the tall white shadows of the
Himalayas, resting in village where your presence is as honored as that of a visiting God.
This program includes a full tented camp and all transportation food, and staff: a
professional, English-speaking guide and Sherpas, cook and kitchen crew, trekking permits,
park fees and taxes; Hotel, breakfasts, and sightseeing in Kathmandu. A Teahouse Option is
not available for this route.
- Day 1: We'll meet you at Kathmandu airport and take you to your hotel. Business,
Q&A, and a short orientation walk.
- Day2: In Kathmandu. Sightseeing, trek briefing.
- Day 3: In Kathmandu. Morning Mountain Flight to Everest. Sightseeing and trek
preparation.
- Day 4: Fly to Pokhara in the morning with your guide. Drive directly out of town and
begin to trek. Lunch on the way, and camp will be set with dinner cooking when you arrive
in Ghachowk.
- Day 5: Cross the Seti River and tributaries, and camp at Ghalegaon.
- Day 6: Traverse East following the Annapurna Massif, and camp at Neulikhadka.
- Day 7: Continue East and also North, drawing closer to the massif. Camp at the lovely
town of Parche.
- Day 8: Explore the twin town of Siklis, the surrounding area, and climb high on the
ridge above the two towns if you like. Camp again at Parche.
- Day 9: Turn South and follow generally the Modi Khola river. Camp tonight is at Jandu.
- Day 10: Finish the trek by walking out to a primitive roadhead and driving back to
Pokhara. Overnight at the Shangri-La Village. Local design and materials, great service,
and a very classy place with spectacular mountain views.
- Day 11: Free day. You can walk in the lakeside area, go rowing on the lake, take a car
to the local attractions; or best - just relax under the mountains.
- Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu mid-day, afternoon free.
- Day 13: Depart Kathmandu. Airport assistance, of course.
