A trek that takes you high on to the Tibetan Plateau and a Kingdom, forbidden until recently.

Here, in mysterious remote Mustang are windswept landscapes, rugged terrain and the most picturesque, colorful villages you‘ve ever seen- the colors are unbelievable.

A King rules Mustang and the fortunate are greeted by him but his Kingdom and its unusual mix of scenery and medievalness, make this meeting with Mustang well worth traveling halfway around the world.

This program includes a full tented camp and all transportation, food, and staff: a professional English-speaking guide and Sherpas, cook and kitchen crew, national park fees, taxes; Hotel, breakfasts and sightseeing in Kathmandu. Also included: Restricted area permit fee ($ 700.00 per person for 10 days) and government required liaison officer. A minimum of 4 people traveling together are required for this trek. Teahouse option is not available.

Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu. We’ll meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.
• Day 2: In Kathmandu. Morning briefing, meet your guide, question and answers followed by orientation and sightseeing of the old city of Kathmandu and Swayambunath. Afternoon free.
• Day 3: Morning Mountain Flight to Everest and the great mountains. Afternoon sightseeing to the Palace and old Patan.
• Day 4: Morning is free prepare for trek. Fly to Pokhara in the afternoon and overnight at pleasant guesthouse.
• Day 5: Fly to Jomsom early in the morning and trek to Kagbeni. This is a short day to acclimatize because you have gained a lot of altitude in the flight from Pokhara.
• Day 6: Pass the restricted area checkpoint, and you’re in Mustang! Trek to Chele.
• Day 7: Trek Chele to Shayangmochen.
• Day 8: Trek Shayangmochen to Geilung.
• Day 9: Trek Geilung to Charang.
• Day 10:Trek Charang to Lo Manthang.
• Day 11: In Lo Manthang.
• Day 12: In Lo Manthang.
• Day 13: Trek to Lo Manthang to Lo Gekar and on to Ghami.
• Day 14: Trek to Ghami to Samar.
• Day 15: Trek to Samar to Kagbeni.
• Day 16: Trek to Kagbeni to Jomsom (Also a day of margin for delays on trek).
• Day 17: Fly back to Pokhara, then from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
• Day 18: Sightseeing to medieval Bhaktapur, Baudhanath, and Pashupatinath in the morning.
• Day 19: Depart Kathmandu. We’ll take you to the airport and assist with baggage and check in.

Program Summary:

• 19 Days: Mysterious Mustang, 6 days Kathmandu at Hotel Everest or similar, 1 day Pokhara, 12 days trek, transportation, permits and fees.
